Crocheted Flower Tutorial

These little cuties are super easy to make and a great way to use up yarn scraps (if you don't have any you can always grab a ball or two from your dollar store, since you are not wearing them you don't need to be really fussy about the quality of yarn). First, start with 5 chain stitches.

Then using a slip stitch, join the two ends together, making a ring.

Now, chain three.

Crochet 9 double crochets into the ring.

Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 stitch.

Chain 2, then crochet 3 double crochets into the next stitch and then chain two again.

Join with a slip stitch to next stitch.

You now have one complete petal.

Repeat, from chain 2, 3 three double crochets into next stitch, chain 2 and join with a slip stitch to next stitch - four times to create 5 petals. Fasten off. And voila you have a pretty little flower for your card or layout!

This is actually much easier than it sounds and once you do one, you'll know what I mean! Have fun you can make a ton in a short period of time!
