Joy Ride - Boys Rule Tutorial - My MInd's Eye

Hi there!

I have a new layout on the Boys Rule blog today.  I created this layout to share the 'how to's with the Boys Rule followers!

Start by cutting the car paper (or one of your choice) down to a 7 x 7 square, then mat it with a coordinating piece of cardstock, measuring 7 1/ x 7 1/8.

Then cut the diagonal striped paper down to 3 x 12, create a fish tail at the right hand edge and then trim this piece down to 10 inches long.  also, mat this piece with a coordinating piece of cardstock, measuring 1/8 inch large than the original piece.

Adhere the matted car paper approximately where I have, then pierce 2 semi circles above and below the car paper, as shown, and stitch with the brown and white twine, into every other hole.

Now add your fish tail diagonal striped paper, and your matted photo.

Adhere the blue car sticker to your page, adding alpha stickers onto it.

Mat the circular sticker onto cardstock and punch out a mat with a 1.5 inch circle punch.  Add this along with a small wood circle element (coloured red) and a few star stickers, to the upper corner of the layout.

From the small chevron patterned paper, cut out one width of chevron and then cut this into 2 arrow shapes (as shown) one measure 2.75 inches and the other 3.25 inches.  Stitch these two onto your layout, placing the shorter of the two ant the top of the page.

Punch out the 'Joy Ride' sentiment from the car on the 'tag' paper.  Mat it onto cardstock and punch it out with a 1.75 inch punch.  Adhere it to your layout and ad the 'go' sticker and some stars.  Add glossy accents to the stars for fun.

And that's it, you have a completed page!

Thanks for visiting!
