I am up on the Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits blog today sharing a fun little DIY for a magnetic bookmark, inspired by this 'back to school' season. My youngest reads every day after school and we somehow manage to lose our page on a regular basis so this little project has managed to save us from having to find where we left off this past week!
All you need is a scrap of cardstock that measures 2.5" x 8", and a few scraps of patterned paper and stickers from the kit, plus a bit of magnetic tape (dollar store stuff works fine or you could even recycle the fridge magnet business card things (yes that is the technical term!) that come in the junk mail.
Once you cut your carstock to size, give it a nice crisp shore line and fold it in half.
Now round your bottom corners.
Attach magnets to the bottom of the front and back inside edges.
And then decorate anyway you wish.
Easy peasy and it gets the job done!
Thanks so much for visiting today!
